Are you constantly searching for activities to challenge your high achievers or early finishers? I love to have a supply of open ended activities to help my students think critically about math. These Addition Squares Puzzle task cards do just that! This center is so easy to set up! Just print out the cards on colored paper to give them a little pop of color, laminate, cut them out, and you’re good to go!
On many of the puzzles there is no one right answer, and there are multiple ways to solve the problem. I have also included pages for the students to create their own puzzles.
USE THESE PUZZLES IN MANY WAYS:
• As a morning warm up activity
• In a Math Center
• As an activity for early finishers
• As homework instead of routine addition problems
