Description
This product has been updated to include both a print and Google Slides™ version. These 30 HALLOWEEN ANALOGIES are perfect to challenge your little thinkers and develop skills in logical thinking, problem-solving, making inferences, drawing conclusions, recognizing similarities and differences, AND comparing and contrasting.
You will need to print out the cards on cardstock (including the cover and instruction cards), laminate them, and cut them out. One easy way to keep up with them is to punch a hole in one corner and put them on a metal ring. I like to print them out into two sets – cards 1-15, and 16-30. You also have recording sheets and an answer key. Remember, not all analogies have a single correct answer. If a student gives a reasonable response to an analogy, it should be considered correct.

HOW CAN I USE THIS PRODUCT?
- In a Center: Print out the puzzle cards on card stock and laminate or put them in a dry erase pocket. Print out the solution cards so the student can check their work. Also, print out the response sheets so students can record their answers.
- As a Morning Warm-up Activity: Project the puzzles on a SmartBoard, use an LCD projector, or use an ELMO. Have students work individually or in pairs.
- Think, Pair, Share: Print out the cards on plain paper or card stock. Give each group of students a set of puzzles to solve.
- For Early Finishers: Have a folder of the puzzles in an early finisher center.
- As a Scoot Game
